Floyd County will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Floyd County Administration Offices located at 202 W. Main Street, 2nd Floor, Floyd, VA to solicit public input on local community development and urgent needs in relation to Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding for a project in our community resulting from Hurricane Helene in September 2024.
Information on the amount of funding available and the requirements on the benefit to low- and moderate-income persons will be available. Eligible activities include generators for public facilities, debris removal, damage assessments, and housing counseling. Citizens will also be given the opportunity to comment on Floyd County’s past use of CDBG funds. All interested citizens are urged to attend.
